Characters

Ok, so I figure that I could probably let you in on the scoop of four of my main characters.  I have lots of other characters than the four that I am going to tell you about, and several of them are important in the plot of the book, but these four are probably the most important (maybe).  We have: Virginia, Shawn, Ashlee, and Bryan.  Virginia is 16 and my heroine.  She has long, midnight black hair, with ivory skin and intense black eyes.  She has high cheekbones, and an oval face shape.  Most of the time her expression is resolved, as the weight of the Universe falls upon her.

Shawn is my rather cool, bad guy.  He is a criminal and yes, he does have anger issues and is at times downright evil, but he also has (at times) a good sense of humor.  He is a gang leader, and those who mess with him tend to regret it later and warn people about him.  That is, if those who mess with him ever see anyone else again.  Shawn is about twenty-five, with high cheekbones, sharp features, piercing brown eyes (which fire can easily be seen in when he is angry), a scar on his right cheek almost reaching his mouth, and shaggy brown hair.  Most of the times he dresses in black: black pants, black shoes, and a black hoodie.  For those out there who like the “cool bad guys,” Shawn definitely meets that criteria.

Ashlee is Virginia’s best friend, and always comes to her friend’s needs.  Ashlee is 19, has copper curly hair reaching just over her shoulders, and big expressive brown eyes.  Virginia can always tell what Ashlee is thinking or feeling from her eyes.  Ashlee’s emotions are right on the surface, but most of the time she has a very happy, almost giggly personality.  Ashlee is willing to do practically anything for her friends, and will stick with them through thick and thin.

Bryan is Virginia’s older brother.  He is a 18-year-old computer geek, who loves to tease his sister and Ashlee.  Bryan can find and do practically anything on his computer, including tracking the Future.  That might sound kind of strange, but like I said before, my book is Sci-Fi, so you’ll just have to read it to figure that part out.  Bryan has shaggy blonde hair (a little longer than Shawn’s), a goatee, and bright blue eyes.  He usually wears a mischievous grin – always ready to tease his sister.

Well, that’s about it for now with my four main characters!  I also would like to let you know that the subtitle to Holding the Future Hostage is this: The Legacy of the Ruby Vial.  I’m going to try to post at least something every other day…hopefully even more than that, though.
