    • Thanks for stopping by! Well, actually, it is awesome being homeschooled. I do like interacting with friends, but I have plenty of that outside of my school/learning time. I interact with adults and children everywhere I go outside of my home, which gives me life skills, rather than just learning how to cope with kids my age. I also go on lots of field trips, so I do see my friends in our Homeschool Group regularly. I love being able to concentrate on my studies at home, instead of being distracted in a classroom. Does this help? Thanks again! 😀

  1. I am glad you found my blog beacuse it means I found yours as well.

I am in New York…where are you??
Keep up your writing I canl’t wait until some day when you finish writing Holding the Future Hostage I can go into Barnes & Nobles and buy a copy of it.

Maybe if I am lucky, you will even autograph it for me.

    Thanks again Tia

    • Thanks for suscribing to my blog! I’m in Arizona…haha on the other side of the country. Oh thanks, I hope my novel is published soon. 🙂 I would be happy to autograph a copy for you! Thanks for commenting!

  2. Tia,

I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to finally visit you where you live online! You’ve been so loyal following my blog. Working 40 hours plus managing a blog and freelancing can get cumbersome sometimes. 😉 I think it’s great you’re in high school and already wrote a novel! Do you have any excerpts? When I was your age, I think the most I ever pulled off was about 90 pages into a book, but then my ADHD took over. Keep writing! I went to college after high school and became a newspaper reporter, and now I work as a corporate communications writer, freelance for magazines, and plan to return to school to get my Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing so I can teach. You have so many wonderful options available to your future! I just love hearing about young writers such as yourself. Makes me think of how I was back at that age, and brings a smile to my face.

    • Hi Shari,

That’s perfectly alright – I completely understand how busy our lives can get. I just had surgery, so I have a lot of time on my hands (though a lot is spent by sleeping 🙂 ) to be on my blog. I do have one blog post dedicated entirely to a section of my novel. I would link it for you, but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet so I’ll just tell you the title. It’s something like, “Taste the first chapter of my book”. That’s very close, but it might not be exact because I’m on pain meds and forgot the actual name. Please feel free to browse through my blog and find that post! It might be located under my “older posts’. I definitely want to be a journalist and maybe some other things in creative writing. Being homeschooled has totally contributed to the completion of my novel. If I wasn’t homeschooled, I don’t think I would’ve written a book. Thanks for commenting! 😀

  3. its awesome that u have a book. I started so many times (but i guess it need great discipline) and i ended up with nothing done 🙂 good luck with ur book.

  4. Hi there,
I love to hear positive things from teenagers who are getting a different kind of education from the state system.I’m always impressed with parents who can manage homeschooling. Our boys are at a Rudolf Stiener School, and we think they’re getting a better deal too…

    • Yes, I think that I’m doing so much more through homeschooling (such as college courses for science). I personally don’t like the public school system (I used to be public schooled so I’ve had experience), so I’m glad that I’m homeschooled. 🙂 Thanks for commenting.

      -Tia

    • Haha well you’re just going to have to read my book when it’s published, eh? 😉 Ok, really – Holding the Future Hostage is the name of my novel, and since this blog was originally started to be about my novel, I thought it was only fitting to give it the same title. Hope this helps

    • Hey thanks! Glad you like it! I think I might change the rules a little though…cuz I don’t like all the personal questions on it. Will you still give it to me if I just say you awarded it to me and if I award it to others?? 😉

      -Tia

    • Thanks!! wow, I’m totally gonna have to check out your blog. 😀 Oh yeah, converse is the world’s best brand. Thanks again – I’ll be heading your way soon. 😉

      -Tia

    • Welcome, Hassaan! 🙂 Thanks, I’m glad it fascinated you. Well…I don’t really know what you write about (I’ll check out your blog), but if you have any questions at all about how things work on WordPress, or post ideas, be sure to ask! I always love to help…I know WordPress is a little overwhelming when you first get going. 😉

  6. Hey there! I started reading your blog today and I’m already completely enthralled. I found it through Picco (you know, the crazy chick from Spoonlighting? 😉 Anywayssss, just wanted to stop and say hello. Can’t wait to read more.

P.s. Stair problems, eh? Sounds like my water problems…

    • Hey, thanks for stopping by! I’m glad you like my blog – it’s always amazing to meet new people who share common interests! haha yes, Picco…now we have a *lot* in common. we’ve decided that we are twins separated a birth. Fact. 😉 I’m hoping to get a new post in soon…I’ve just been ridiculously busy. haha

Ooh water problems. Sounds like an interesting story behind that! I’ll definitely be checking out your blog. 😉

  7. You seem like an amazing, wonderful, creative person!! I’m so glad I found out about you (via Kaitlyn Deann).

Haha, yes, falling up the stairs is easier than it sounds!! 😉

  8. Hey, Tialla. Question: how do you pronounce your name? Like tiara, but with an ‘L’ instead of an ‘R’? It’s such a beautiful name!!! 🙂

    • Aww thanks, I really appreciate that! You have it exactly right – like tiara but with an ‘L’ instead of an ‘R.’ Good job! When most people try to pronounce it the first time they say “Talia” or something like that. I’m impressed!

      Thanks again! 🙂

      -Tialla

  9. I’m a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Thor movies, Alice in Wonderland, and most of Johnny Depp’s movies too! And Monk–I finally found someone else who loves Monk! 😀

    • Oh yay! It’s incredibly hard to find someone who has the same taste in movies and shows, haha. Monk is my all-time favorite ever. I will never forgive Netflix for taking it off instant streaming. 😉 So glad to have met you!

      -Tialla

  10. Just wanted to say hi! I was super happy that someone other then me likes Monk and Iron Man! Almost everyone I know aren’t fans of either (*cough* mom *cough*). Also Inception caught my eye. I watched it for the first time yesterday and loved it.
Again, just passing by and wanted to say hi. 🙂

What thinkest thou?
